The company's history begins in the Brabant region of the Netherlands. In the town of Sprang-Capelle, the machine factory Eerste Machinefabriek Capelle was founded in 1933. The company quickly gained growth and moved production to the nearby town of Wallwijk. In addition to the more common tasks a machine factory have, the company quickly began to develop its own series of lifts for the construction industry and the company therefore developed its first product for lifting loads. In the 1980s, there was a general recession that also hit the EMCE-company and was close to turning the key but was rescued by the Stokvis group. Under the ownership of the Stokvis Group, the company started to developed again and today there are over 5200 sqm of office, workshops and production. At the same time, the product range was also developed with more complex solutions to meet customer requirements.
