PYTHON (WDI - Westfälische Drahtindustrie GmbH)

The company was founded in 1856 by Cark Hobrecker in the German city of Hamm under the name 'Hobrecker, Witte and Herbers'. In 1872, the company was listed under the name 'Aktiengesellschaft Westfälischer Draht-Industrie-Verein'. Later in the company's history, the Westfälische Drahtindustrie (WDI) becomes part of a German steel company. Klöckner, Krupp and Hoesch. In 1993, the company again privately owned by Werner Pampus and will thus become one of Europe's leading producers of steel wire rope. Today, WDI is manufacturing the finished products at 17 locations in Germany. See more about the company in this video:
