Bramidan's history goes back to 1975. The company produces machines for compressing e.g. cardboard, plastic and other recyclable waste. Bramidan has experienced great growth since its foundation and today the company has locations in several European countries and more than 200 employees.
Read more about how a constant focus on competitiveness on the global market has created a need for an investment in a new crane solution.

The factory of the future requires increased crane coverage
A constant focus on remaining competitive means that Bramidan has invested heavily in production over the past decade. Today, the modern production consists of, among other things, of robotic powder coating. The company has thus managed to reduce the time it takes to produce new Bramidan balers - all the way down to just 24 hours.
But the efficiency improvement does not stop here - investments have also been made in e.g. conveyor belts and ergonomic worktops in the welding section of production as well as assembly.

New production area for new and even bigger products
Bramidan has also chosen to build an extra production area to house a brand new welding robot, which in the future will weld products from start to finish, with a weight of up to 1800 kg. In connection with that, the need also arose for a overhead crane that could cover this production area and lift the heavy items in and out of the large welding robot.
Niels G. Sandberg, who has had the role of Production Manager for 11 years, says; "We are building a production of a new product and the cranes we have today cannot lift what the new production requires."

Facts about the ABUS overhead crane
The crane that Bramidan chose was a overhead crane from German manufacturer ABUS Kransysteme GmbH with a lifting capacity of 2.000 kg. The overhead crane is mounted free-standing on columns, also called a crane stand, in the newly built production areal.
The crane stand itself has been designed and dimensioned by Fyns Kran Udstyr's technical department to fit this particular solution. The overhead crane therefore has a travel path of 14.97 meters and a span of 7.4 meters. It is equipped with a wire hoist and both the overhead crane and the hoist are controlled with the intelligent ABUControl radio control. The crane is thus easily controlled via the wireless ABURemote.
