The company's history begins entirely in the Brabant region of the Netherlands. In the town of Sprang-Capelle, the machine factory Eerste Machinefabriek Capelle was founded in 1933. The company grew quickly and production was moved to the nearby town of Wallwijk. In addition to the more common tasks a machine factory may have, the company quickly began to develop its own series of elevators for the construction industry and the company therefore developed its first product for lifting a loas. In the 1980s, a general recession affected EMCÉ - the company was close to shutting down but was saved by the Stokvis group. Under the ownership of the Stokvis group, the company grew again and today has over 5,200 square meters of office, workshops and production. At the same time, the product range was also developed with e.g. more complex solutions to meet customer requirements.
