The startup company Liftsupply was founded on the basis of a completely different company; namely an outgrowth of Nikolaj and Kurt Povlsen's already existing business; KranDOK, which is Denmark's first company that exclusively calculates and documents different types of crane lifting jobs. The founders use their experience from more than 25 years in the crane and construction industry to advise, calculate, document and projects for both small and large companies that use cranes.

Through the activity in KranDOK, there was increasing demand for the hire of lifting gear for the individual projects, as well as an increasing trend in inquiries regarding the hire of e.g. electric chain hoists with radio control configured to turn concrete elements as well as complete kit with the most common lifting gear, for lifting different types of concrete elements.
Liftsupply sees the light of day
Against the background of this increasing interest and activity, it was decided to meet the increasing demand, take the leap and put together special solutions that precisely suited the customers' needs, and thus the foundation for Liftsupply was laid.
"We have put the boxes together so that it is so easy and clear for the user to find what they need. At the same time, the boxes are made to be lifted easily with a forklift, crane or similar. In addition, they can of course also be unlocked," explains Nikolaj Povlsen
When the company had to purchase lifting equipment to assemble the boxes, there were however some reservations based on the experience the company had with purchasing this very thing. The lifting gear had to be of high quality, and the final end user of the contents of the box had to be able to trust that the gear was always durable.

Quality that lasts in everyday life
Nikolaj Povlsen elaborates; "We could probably easily have found the lifting gear for the boxes a little cheaper somewhere else than at Fyns Kran Udstyr, but then we've situations where we got some shackles you don't want to lift with or a lifting clutch for elements where it just did'nt fit right and made the day a challenge. We would rather have quality that lasts.” says Nikolaj.
He continues, "It also makes a difference that the communication with the supplier of the lifting gear is good. We cannot live with e.g. is a very long delivery time for something that we have to use here and now - then we would be in a situation where we have a box that we cannot be rented out to our customer".
The quality must be good
"We had good experience with Fyns Kran Udstyr from before, so we knew that we met all our requirements by choosing you as a supplier. Furthermore, it is a huge plus that you have a system (EasyCert ed.) where you always can go in and see the certificates and that everything is under control, instead of them being in a folder in an office," says Nikolaj.
And it seems that Liftsupply has hit the spot with their solutions. Nikolaj Povlsen elaborates “It has all happened quickly, and the rings have spread in the water at a speed we didn't dare hope for – that's why we don't have any boxes at home at the moment either; they are all rented out. It is of course difficult to predict how it will look in the future, but so far we have experienced a very good demand," concludes a smiling Nikolaj Povlsen.
