
A handling facility that replaces manual heavy lifting in Unicef's new world warehouse in UN City, Copenhagen will ensure faster emergency aid and a better working environment. Fyns Kran Udstyr designed and installed the system.
In total, 21 vacuum lifters and 132 meter crane systems where installed for Unicef's world warehouse in Denmark.

The main warehouse is a modern, automatic warehouse, where packing is also carried out manually via the many packing lines. The emergency supplies are packed for those in need all over the world, and the process will in the future be more efficient with the new equipment, so that emergency aid can reach the destination faster. At the same time, the handling system spares the packaging workers from heavy, manual lifting, which provides a better working environment.
The handling system is produced by German manufacturer Schmalz and consists of 21 pcs. JumboFlex, which can lift up to 35 kg and can be operated ergonomically and easily with just one hand and 12 pcs. aluminum overhead cranes with a total length of 132 metres.
THE FACTS
Fyns Kran Udstyr has delivered the vacuum system to SSI Schaefer, which is behind the construction of the high-rise warehouse located in the new FN City, Copenhagen.
The new world warehouse is 25,000 m2 in size, equivalent to 3 football pitches, and consists of storage, packaging and goods receipt.
