Looking for a lever hoist with a steel wire rope? Then you should take a look in the product category with manual wire rope hoists.
Which brand should I choose?
There are a lot of different lever hoist brands. When you choose us a a supplier - you are sure to find just the right lever hoist. The frequency of use is often one of the most crucial factors in making the right choice. A lever hoist is a important tool. Our range is wide and caters to the professional user - it is therefore possible to buy spare parts such as top hooks, bottom hooks and repair kits for the lever hoists in our range. For the vast majority of professionals, our YellowLine lever hoists will be a great product - if you choose to go for the best of the best we would recommend that you choose a lever hoist from the German brand HADEF or the Japanese KITO.
Good advice before use
When you receive your new lever hoist you should first and foremost read the user manual - lifting heavy loads can be dangerous, if the lift is not preformed safely. If you use a used lever hoist, we suggest that you ensure the following: * That the lever hoist is without deformations, wear or visible damage. * That the lever hoist is properly marked with manufacturer, WLL, CE and identification number. * That there is no wear or damage to hooks on the lever hoist * That there is no damage to the load chain and that the individual chain links are not deformed or rusty. If one or more of the above signs is present, we do not recommend to use the lever hoist.
How to use a lever hoist
Before lifting the load, please make sure that persons in the working area are informed and are in a safe distance from the load. * Never lift more than the lever hoists's capacity. * Never use the lever hoist chain as a sling around the load. * Do not use more force than intended on the operating handle. * Do not use unnecessary force to operate the lever hoist. When lifting and pulling: Turn the knob on the handle to the marking often referred to as "UP", indicated on the name plate. When lowering or loosening: Turn the knob on the handle to the ‘DOWN’ mark, indicated on the name plate. Neutral: When the button is in the neutral, it is possible to adjust the chain length and the load chain can be quickly pulled through the lever hoist. The function can only be used when there no load on the lever. Remember: The load must be suspended in a straight line from the lever hoist.
Is it a good idea to buy a used lever hoist?
Are you considering buying a used lever hoist? You can be lucky and find a used hoist in good condition - we suggest that you at least review our list above with good advice before needing to evaluate the condition on the lever hoist. Also, remember to check when the last statutory and often legally required inspection was last made. Remember that the lever hoist easily can have been used or 'abused' after the statutory inspection and it can therefore be a very good idea to ask the seller to have this done before you buy the used lver hoist. If you are considering buying used because you only need to use the lever hoist once, then hiring the needed lever hoist may be a better and cheaper alternative.

If you are in doubt the best to consult is youre lokal working environment authorities. Make sure the lever hoist is regularly inspected by a competent person, and be sure to lubricate the load chain as needed.
