Talurit Turnback Ferrule - T-Konit-H (TKH)

The turnback ferrule system is easy to use. It is quick, safe and has proved itself to be totally reliable. It is far more efficient than all other swaging methods on the market.

The conical ferrules TKH are tapered at the back to reduce the risk of load snagging. Furthermore, the conical ferrules are elegant and functional. All aluminium ferrules are produced seamless for added safety. From size 8 and upwards they are fully traceable (ISO 9001) and marked with size, type and manufacturing batch number. Our ”Ferrule Securing Instruction” details the correct method of pressing, approx. pressure required and ferrule selection criteria. Our aluminium ferrules are approved by many International Institutions and Authorities, details available on request.

Our TKH ferrule is based on a TK ferrule, but has an inspection hole to ensure the short end of the wire rope is correctly positioned after swaging. The TKH ferrule is pressed in a die, which has a blind tap to ensure that the inspection hole remains open after swaging. This special ferrule corresponds to the requirement in EN 13411-3 when swaging conical ferrules. Patented solution. Request a special instruction for swaging with inspection hole.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The aluminium ferrules, type TKH correspond to the European standard (FSET) for turnback ferrule or ferrule secured eye termination. The standard is EN 13411-3. The ferrules are produced from seamfree extrusions which are extruded seamless over mandrel and the aluminium alloy should be AW-5051A according to EN 573-3.
TK ferrules do not correspond to standard mentioned above but have been tested and verified by Talurit (Please follow our swaging instructions as per the technical data sheet).

APPLICATIONS
The aluminium ferrules are the most commonly used in the market, they have a vast variety of applications especially in the lifting gear industry. The TKH ferrule are thoroughly specified and very well defined for many different wire rope applications. Four different cases are tested and verified according to the standard, EN 13411-3. The ferrules can be used for fibre core, single layer wire ropes, steel core single layer wire ropes, rotation resistant wire ropes and some spiral strand ropes.

T ferrules less than size no. 5 are allowed to be swaged with hand tools. T ferrules larger than size 60 need to be swaged using a special multi-stage swaging method.
