Wire Oil

During the manufacturing process, lubricant is applied to steel wire rope. However, it only protects the steel wire rope during storage and the first few times of use. Then the steel wire rope must be lubricated regularly. A good lubrication of the steel wire rope is important to increase the lifespan of the steel wire rope. Lubrication also has the purpose of protecting the steel wire against rust and reducing the friction between the threads in the steel wire rope. The oil used for post-lubrication must be free of acids and must not have a damaging effect on both wires and / or the fiber heart of the steel wire rope and of course the environment. At the same time, it is important that oil has a consistency which means that the oil penetrates into boths the strands and the heart of the steel wire rope.
