KBN Rustfri Service was founded 20 years ago, when Kasper Bech Nielsen started with just a single service van. Since then, the company has expanded to have 15 employees, with half of the workforce driving out throughout Denmark to install the products produced by the company.

Supplier to the food industry
At KBN Rustfri Service, they service many different types of customers, but it is most often the food industry such as slaughterhouses and dairies that especially make use of the company's know-how and stainless steel solutions. Among the company's product portfolio you will find conveyor belts and various types of machines involved in the processing of the products. The company therefore often has many demanding special tasks.
Larger solutions created a need for more crane coverage
Fyns Kran Udstyr came into the picture when KBN Rustfri Service received some jobs that required better crane coverage of the work area and made higher demands on both the working environment and efficiency. First, an Erikkila overhead crane was installed in a new manufacturing facility. A feature of this solution is that an extra piece of track is mounted on it, so that the flat cables could be placed behind the working area itself and thus give KBN Rustfri even greater crane coverage.

The focus on efficiency and the working environment created the need for yet another crane solution
Next, the processing area also had to be upgraded, and an Erikkila overhead crane with a Schmalz VacuMaster Basic 500 kg vacuum lifting beam was again chosen to handle the large steel plates.
As a result, the workflow has become more efficient, and they could go from 2 to 1 man at the workstation, while at the same time the working environment for the employees has been improved.

Schmalz VacuMaster in its right element
The vacuum lifting beam, which is mounted on the easy-running overhead ERIKKILA crane, is from the German manufacturer Schmalz. It is designed to lift large, flat airtight items. VacuMaster are in its element when used to lift steel sheets on the company's platebander and plate shear. Before it was a process that had to be handled. VacuMaster Basic is available with a lifting capacity of up to 750 kg. In addition, the model is also available with the option of rotating the load.
