How the chain sling is loaded

Neither figure may be exceeded. If the load does not distribute evenly, count on two bearing legs. On a 4-leg sling, measure the leg length diagonally between the attachment points. Before lifting, check that the chain has not stretched more than 5 % of its nominal length and that wear does not exceed 10 %. Hooks must have a safety latch. Never use the sling with twists or knots, or after overload or strong heat. An edge is sharp when its radius is equal to or smaller than the chain diameter. Use edge protection there. The operating temperature is -40 °C to +200 °C. Lifting gear must be inspected at least every 12 months, or as regulations require.
